Last Shoot for 2007
Our last scheduled shoot for 2007 was October 18. Participation for 2007 was disappointing. Weather, high gasoline prices, shotgun shells more expensive, all combined to keep shooters away.

I am unsure at this time what our schedule will be in 2008. More shooters and more assistance at shoots are needed.

If you have suggestions let me hear them. Most important! Let me know if you want to help out.

I appreciate all those that helped this year.

Change in Trap Shoot Agenda
Due to declining attendance, beginning with the September 6th shoot, the following changes will occur:

Food will no longer be available.
No competitions or games are planned.

The trap will be open for practice at 5:00 pm on each of the remaining scheduled dates (9/6,9/20,10/4, 10/18) and continue to be OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.

This will give less experienced shooters an opportunity to improve without the pressure of competition and allow bird hunters to sharpen their skills.

Comments and suggestions are welcome.

Trap Shoot - 6/7/07
It was windy and hot. More like August than June, but 11 shooters showed up. Good to get back in double figures. Noel Clayton and Tim Bond tied for 1st in ShootOut with 23s. Chip Shryock took the top spot in the 35 Bird Race with a 31 and John T. and Noel Claton tied for 2nd with 29s. More results below.

Trap Shoot - 5/17/07
The shoot started out windy and cool, but later the wind quit and it was just cool. Nine competitors braved these conditions and to no ones surprise we had a very good shoot. Tim Bond prevailed in the ShootOut with a 23 and Lee Wild won the Bird Race with a 32. Welcome Back to Barbara Bond. Despite recent surgery, Barbara shot well.

Trap Shoot - 5/3/07
I am sure the threat of rain kept some shooters away, but we still had nine competitors. It did not rain and turned out to be a nice night to shoot. Scores were excellent. Chip Shryock shot a perfect 25 to win the ShootOut and Tim Bond recorded a 34 to win the Bird Race, missing only the last target to spoil another perfect round. Everyone shot well and competitions were close. Special Thanks goes to Mark Phillips for his help.

Trap Shoot - 4/19/07
It was a nice night to shoot. We had nine shooters. That's not bad, considering Turkey season and spring vacations. There were also two shooters on the injured reserve. Mark Phillips was nursing a sore shoulder from Sunday's archery match and yours truly was hobbled with a sore hip.

Those that did shoot really went at it and matches were very competitive (in a friendly way). I appreciate all that attended and helped.
